Tuna Fishing in Ireland

Itinerary

The Irish tuna are waiting for you.

Connoisseurs claim that the Irish West Coast is currently the best place in the world to catch the largest of its kind, blue fin tuna.

I myself had the tuna fish robbed for the first time eight years ago at sea. With a local friend, I’ve often talked about fishing for tuna here. But only since 2018 has this been allowed by the government – we then carried out several test fishing in August and September, always with 4 anglers on the boat. There was no exit where no tuna were caught! At least four were always landed, with a maximum of nine tuna fish.

In order to keep it that way in the future, we release all the fish after the photo shoot back to freedom.

And we offer you that:

  • Flight from mainland Europe to Dublin
  • Connecting flight from Dublin to Donegal
  • Transfer from Donegal Airport to Killibegs to the hotel
  • 4 nights in a single room with full board
(Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner, beverages not included)
  • Transfer from the hotel to the port and back
  • 3 exits from 8am to about 5pm
  • 4 x á la carte dinners at the hotel
  • Transfer on departure to the airport to Donegal
  • Flight from Donegal to Dublin
  • Flight from Dublin to mainland Europe
  • Price per person 2.265 €

Big Game.

You will stay in the best hotel Killibegs, which also has an excellent restaurant. The day starts with the typical Irish breakfast, for the day we get a very extensive packed lunch and in the evening the hotel restaurant spoils us with a very good menu.

The day of arrival is followed by three exciting days of fishing, before returning to your homeward journey on the fifth day of your stay.

Fishing for bluefin tuna is demanding. The capital fish require concentration and power while drilling. We spend the entire day on the sea, exposed to the wind and weather – an excessive consumption of alcohol is not conducive here. You will fall exhausted after a fishing day in the evening and hopefully fall happily to bed.

What you need:

Please bring rainproof clothing and rubber boots. You will receive a life jacket on board, as well as fishing equipment and baits.

If the captain has to cancel an exit due to weather reasons, the exit fee will be refunded for that day.

Should one of the participants cancel one or more exits, no money will be refunded. We recommend the conclusion of a travel cancellation insurance.
